General Description
HTF’HTXF-B495596Zx/HTXF-B554996Zx XFP transceiver is designed for use in 10-Gigabit Ethernet links up to 80km over single mode fiber. It also defines a sophisticated system of alarm and warning flags, which alerts end-users when particular operating parameters are outside of a factory set normal range. The XFP MSA defines a 256-byte memory map in EEPROM that is accessible over a 2-wire serial interface at the 8 bit address 1010000X (A0h). The digital diagnostic monitoring interface makes use of the 8 bit address 1010001X (A2h), so the originally defined serial ID memory map remains unchanged.
What is the principle of Bidirectional optical module of BIDI?
A general optical module has two ports, a transmitting port and a receiving port. The single-fiber Bidirectional optical module has only one port, which is filtered by the filter in the optical module, and can transmit the optical signal of one wavelength and receive the optical signal of another wavelength at the same time, or vice versa. Therefore, the module must be used in pairs at both ends of the link. Other commonly used wavelengths for Bidirectional single-fiber optical modules are 1310 nm/1490 nm and 1510 nm/1590 nm. The unidirectional Bidirectional transceiver assembly integrates MQW-to-LD light source, to-pin-TIA (cross-impedance amplifier) detector, optical fiber and other components into one by coaxial coupling process.
